Tampa Bay Lightning training camp schedule and roster

TAMPA – As the recovery from Hurricane Irma continues and life starts to return to a normal pace, the Tampa Bay Lightning expect to stay right on task with training camp, which opens on Thursday.

The team released the schedule for the first five days of camp which leads right up to the first preseason game, as well as the 64-player roster. Four of the opening five days will be open to the public, with three days at the Ice Sports Forum in Brandon plus Saturday’s Fan Fest at Amalie Arena.

Here is the schedule of events for training camp, which opens with media day on Thursday at Amalie Arena, which is not open to the public, so we’ll start with Friday’s schedule:

Team Andreychuk: 8:40 a.m to 9:40 a.m. practice on South Rink; 9:45 a.m. to 10:25 a.m. on North Rink

Team Lecavalier: 10:40 a.m. to 11:40 a.m. practice on South Rink; 11:55 a.m. to 12:25 p.m. scrimmage vs Team St. Louis on North rink

Team St. Louis: 11:55 a.m. to 12:25 p.m. scrimmage against Team Lecavalier on North Rink; 12:40 p.m. – 1:40 p.m. on South rink

Saturday at Amalie Arena for Fan Fest Doors open for season ticket members at 8:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m. for the general public. Must have a ticket to attend, which can be acquired for free on the team website

Team Andreychuk: 9 a.m. to 10:25 a.m. practice, 10:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Fan Fest activities

Team Lecavalier: 11 a.m. to 12:25 p.m. practice, 12:45 p.m to 1:45 p.m. Fan Fest activities

Team St. Louis: 12:45 p.m. to 1:30 p.m Fan Fest activities; 2:20 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. practice

Sunday at Ice Sports Forum in Brandon

Team St. Louis: 8:45 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. practice on South rink; 9:50 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. practice on North rink

Team Andreychuk: 10:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. practice on South Rink; 11:55 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. scrimmage against Team Lecavalier on North rink

Team Lecavalier: 11:55 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. scrimmage against Team Andreychuk on North rink; 12:45 – 1:45 practice on South rink

Team Lecavalier: 8:40 a.m. to 9:40 a.m. practice on South rink; 9:45 a.m. to 10:25 a.m. practice on North rink

Tuesday Non-game group in Brandon 11 a.m to 11:45 a.m. followed by scrimmage at noon on north rink. Preseason game against Carolina at 7:30 p.m.

Wednesday at Ice Sports Forum in Brandon Non-game group practice at 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. followed by 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. scrimmage on the North rink. Preseason game at Carolina at 7 p.m.

Thursday, Sept. 21 Day off

Friday, Sept. 22 Game group skates at 10:15 a.m. at Amalie Arena; Non-game group skates at 11:30 a.m. at Amalie Arena. Preseason game against Nashville at 7:30 p.m.

Saturday, Sept. 23 Day off

Sunday, Sept. 24 Non-game group practice at Amalie Arena 10:45 a.m. to 11:45. Preseason game against Florida at 4 p.m.
